The motive behind the attacks has not been officially confirmed. However, the region has long witnessed violent clashes between nomadic cattle herders and farming communities over land and grazing rights. Such conflicts have escalated in recent years, often resulting in mass casualties.
Police have yet to issue a statement, with a spokesperson claiming to be unaware of the incidents.

Local sources, including Sephas Kanghe, a retired general manager of a state-owned electricity company, said he was informed of at least three killings, including a couple reportedly ambushed while riding a motorcycle.
Saturday's violence follows a series of deadly incidents in the region. Just weeks ago, similar attacks in the area claimed at least 56 lives. In early April, neighboring Plateau state witnessed two separate attacks that left more than 100 people dead.
