International Crimes Tribunal Chairman Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman delivered the verdict on Monday. The three- member bench led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder passed the order. The two members of the bench are District and Sessions Judge Md Shafiul Alam Mahmud ; Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury.
Before, three police officers were ordered to appear before the bench. In view of this, these three-former high- ranking police officers were brought to the bench moment. latterly, the bench transferred them to jail showing them arrested in the case. Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam told the bench that the police officers offered a militant drama to produce a culture of fear to keep ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in power. The coming hail of the case is on May 7.
After the hail, Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam told journalists that on July 25, 2016, nine youths were held interned at a house named Jahaj Bari in Kalyanpur in the capital and shot dead in their house along with Swat and CTTC. They propagate that zealots have been killed.
Tajul Islam said the disquisition agency of the bench has come to know that these nine youths were arrested from different corridor of the country long agone. Some were in DB guardianship for two or three months. From there, they were arrested and gathered in the house at night. latterly, elderly police officers arrived there for the block raid at night. They propagated that the zealots were killed by shooting those people. At that time, militant dramatizations had come a regular affair. In order to produce a culture of fear, people of Islamic testament have been killed in militant names.
