Since October 2023, more than 17,000 children have been killed in Gaza due to Israeli aggression.
Children have been the most affected by the Israeli attacks on Gaza. Since October 2023, the Israeli military has killed more than 17,000 children in Gaza.

On Saturday, April 5, the Palestinian Ministry of Education reported this information, according to Anadolu Agency.
In a press release issued for Palestinian Children's Day, observed annually on April 5, the ministry stated, "Education in Palestine, especially in Gaza, is facing direct attacks from the Israeli occupation forces, destroying schools and preventing children from accessing a safe learning environment."
The statement added, "Due to the ongoing war, students in Gaza, Jerusalem, and the Area C classified regions of the occupied West Bank are facing daily challenges."
The ministry reported that "more than 17,000 children have been killed in Gaza, reflecting the depth of children's suffering—each number represents a lost life, memory, and experience."

The report also highlighted that despite this dire situation, Gaza's children have demonstrated resilience by holding onto their right to education, which they see as the only path to a better future. To help them continue their studies amidst the challenges, the ministry has promoted virtual schooling and alternative educational measures.
Since October 2023, Palestinian children in Gaza have endured extreme hardship due to ongoing attacks. Official reports indicate that more than 60% of the casualties have been women and children.
According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, children under 18 make up 43% of Palestine's population, with 3.4 million in the West Bank and 2.1 million in Gaza.
